What are fun shoots?
Fun shoots are sessions where the normal target faces come down and we take the opportunity to relax, and have some fun.
In place of the normal target faces, either novelty target faces or printed pictures are put up. Typically other items are also put up to shoot at (balloons, sweets [you shoot them to claim them], crackers, etc.). Each fun shoot will have a theme that all the items conform to.

When are fun shoots held?
Fun shoots are often run on an ad hoc basis. However, it's common for one to be held at the final session of a beginners course, after indoor BUCS and at the end of each term (one of the final sessions of the year is a special session fun shoot where we raise money for charity whilst shooting at various Christmas themed pictures and items).
Ignit10n
As well as other charity fun shoots, UoB Archery were proud to take part in the Ignit10n charity event for the first time in 2019. This involved shooting continuousely for 10 hours and recording the number of arrows shot. We look to beat our total of 2516 arrows and £216.82 raised next year!

Prevision fun shoots have included; an General Election special, Christmas Charity Fun Shoot, movie madness, and many more.
A few picture from previous fun shoots can be seen below (although it's worth noting that we're normally having too much fun to remember to photograph things!).
