Albert HadiTreasurer3nd Year Biochemistry
2019 was my first year in archery, I got into it by chance- I was just bored one evening thinking about what cool stuff I’d want to get into. I particularly like the friendly atmosphere and sense of camaraderie that’s given off from the club- it’s unique and refreshing. I’ve been a Freestyle Recurve archer ever since I started and have been enjoying every year that’s come (even the Covid year) and making the friends that I have! |
Darya KlymenkoSecretary3rd Year Psychology
I joined the club in first year, after doing the winter beginners’ course, and still consider joining archery one of the best decisions I made while at university. I shoot recurve, and my goal this year is to start taking part in regional competitions. If you have any issues/questions about being part of the club, I’m always happy to help, so feel free to drop me a message on Facebook or approach me at a session! 🙂 |
Kieran GuoiteDevelopment Officer3rd Year Aerospace Engeneering
While I did shoot on and off before coming to Bristol, I only began taking the sport seriously when I joined UoB. I loved all the time I have spent with the club and want to help others enjoy the sport as much as possible which fits nicely with my role as Development Officer. If anyone novice or experienced wants a hand with their shooting just give me a shout. |
Paula IonitaCompetitions Officer3rd Year Economics and Econometrics
I started archery for the first time ever at Bristol after watching Inuyasha and being impressed how the main character nailed the bow. However I ended up being a Recurve archer. I hope we can get as many competitions as possible this year and hope for many archers of the club to take part in them because it is one of the best experiences! |
Manon BristowSocial Secretary3rd Year Psychology
Hello there, I’m Manon a final year psychology student causing mischief with Alice as your social secretaries. I joined UoB archery when I started Uni in Sep 2019, but have been shooting recurve since 2013, where my archery career peaked in roughly 2015. If I’m not at the range then I’m probably in an orchestra of some kind with my double bass or raving about my love/hate relationship with Body Pump. Any social requests let Alice or me know! |
Alice BaileySocial Secretary3rd Year Law
Hi, I’m Alice, an overworked final year law student and Manon’s partner in crime as social secretary. I’ve been a member of UoB archery since the middle of first year, and am a recent convert to recurve after shooting barebow up until recently. When I’m not shooting, I spend my time drinking tea, reading, and watching musicals. |
Sally MortimerWell-being Officer2nd Year Neuroscience
Hello, Sally your wellbeing officer here! I am a "mature" student who spends her time playing Minecraft and occasionally studying neuroscience. My job is to keep everyone safe and happy, I don't get to spend much time on the range at the moment, but I'm available to talk through Facebook messenger if you have any issues or need someone to talk to! |
